Security Reviews
We review websites and authorised systems for common security weaknesses, misconfigurations, exposed services, and missing security headers. You receive a plain-language report with findings in priority order.
We're a small cybersecurity team that tests systems, builds practical security labs, and documents what we learn. We help teams understand risks, improve defences, and make better security decisions.
This is a SHA-256 cryptographic hash function — not encryption — computed live in your browser using the Web Crypto API. No text you enter is sent to a server. Edit the input and watch how much of the 256-bit output changes.
Note: This is an educational demonstration of a one-way hash function. It is not a security assessment tool, and SHA-256 alone is not sufficient for password storage without a proper key-derivation function (e.g. bcrypt, Argon2).
We focus on what we can genuinely deliver: careful assessments, reproducible lab environments, and clear technical writing. All security testing is performed within an explicitly agreed scope and with written authorisation.

We assess web applications and APIs for security weaknesses within an explicitly agreed scope and with written authorisation. Findings are documented with evidence, impact, and practical remediation guidance.
We build reproducible, isolated environments for cybersecurity practice, training, and technical learning. Each environment is documented so it can be rebuilt, modified, and used as a reliable learning resource.
We publish practical explanations, lab walkthroughs, research notes, and defensive guidance aimed at technical readers who want to understand how security issues actually work — and how to address them.
Every engagement follows the same disciplined approach: understand the objective clearly before touching anything, and document what we find honestly.
Establish the objective, the assets in scope, the constraints, and the existing security posture before any testing begins.
Agree on written authorisation, permitted testing techniques, timing, and explicit exclusions. Nothing in scope without approval.
Perform controlled, methodical security checks within the agreed scope. Evidence is documented throughout.
Produce a clear report with each finding, its evidence, its realistic impact, and practical recommendations for your team.
Support remediation discussions and, where agreed in advance, retesting to verify fixes have been applied correctly.
Important: All security testing is performed only with appropriate written authorisation. We do not conduct testing without explicit permission from asset owners. No assessment can guarantee that all vulnerabilities have been identified.
Each project documents a real technical problem: how to build it, how to test it, and what we learned. Reproducible by design.
Practical lab walkthroughs and security environments are being prepared for publication. We'll publish them as they are ready and fully documented.
Topics planned: Linux hardening, network isolation, web application testing environments, and cloud security labs.
Practical notes, lab walkthroughs, and security research — written for people who want to understand how things actually work, not just how to use a tool.

Articles will appear here as they are written and reviewed. No placeholder posts.
Cyconic is a small, founder-led cybersecurity initiative focused on practical security work, reproducible labs, and clear technical explanations. We believe good security starts with understanding how systems actually behave, testing assumptions carefully, and documenting what we learn.
We're two technical founders building this from the ground up. We don't overstate our experience, we don't invent client lists, and we don't hide behind corporate language. When we find something interesting, we write it up.
Our goal is to be the kind of security team you'd actually want to work with — technically capable, honest about scope, and useful beyond the engagement.
We never test systems without explicit written permission. No exceptions.
Our labs and findings are documented so others can follow, verify, and learn.
We report what we find — not what sounds impressive. Limitations included.
Security explained without unnecessary jargon, for the people who need to act on it.
Two technical friends building Cyconic together.
Founder details will be added here when approved for publication. We prefer to let the work speak first.
Tell us what you're building, what concerns you, and what is in scope. We'll respond within two working days with our honest assessment of whether we can help.
